Syracuse NY based General Construction Company is seeking Traveling Superintendents willing to work in the Mid-Atlantic and North East States.

Candidates must be experienced in managing day field operations of a commercial construction project by having a thorough understanding of project documents and coordination with subcontractors, project managers, owners and architects/engineers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

● Managing day-to-day site activities to meet milestone dates and overall schedule
● Maintain a Safe and Clean job site at all times
● Creating look-ahead schedules through coordination with subcontractors
● Lead weekly job meetings and document the information discussed
● Verifying that all work performed and materials provided are per plans and specifications
● Coordinate all inspections and ensure they are fully documented
● Manage staff for any work self-performed by company employees to ensure that work is being performed properly and timely
● 100% completion of punch list items to close out project
● Maintain As-Built drawings during the project
● Daily field reports

Minimum Qualifications

● 5 years’ experience working as a superintendent in the commercial construction industry (Retail, Hotel, Medical, Theater/Entertainment, etc.)
● Strong leadership skills
● Well organized
● Priority in Safety
● Ability to read and understand civil, architectural, MEP drawings/specifications
● Good communication skills
● Ability to create and adhere to project schedules
● Computer skills - Microsoft Word/Excel and emails
● Understand Travel required (anticipate for all projects)
